Copper Stamping Parts

Copper Stamping Parts — High-Conductivity Precision Components

Copper stamping produces high-conductivity, corrosion-resistant metal components for electrical, thermal, and precision mechanical applications. As a specialized copper metal stamping manufacturer with 22 years of experience, we stamp pure copper and copper alloy parts used in electrical terminals, connectors, bus bars, heat exchangers, and precision instruments worldwide.

Copper’s exceptional electrical conductivity (100% IACS), thermal conductivity, and natural antimicrobial properties make it the preferred material for critical electrical and thermal management components. Our copper stamping capabilities include progressive die stamping, deep drawing, blanking, piercing, bending, and coining operations across a full range of copper grades.

Copper Grades We Stamp

Different copper grades offer different balances of conductivity, strength, and formability. Our engineers help you select the optimal grade for your application:

  • C11000 (Electrolytic Tough Pitch, ETP) — 101% IACS conductivity, the most commonly stamped copper for electrical contacts, bus bars, and terminals. Excellent formability and solderability.
  • C10100 (Oxygen-Free Electronic, OFE) — 101% IACS, ultra-high purity for semiconductor equipment, vacuum electronics stamping components, and critical RF applications where hydrogen embrittlement must be avoided.
  • C10200 (Oxygen-Free, OF) — 100% IACS, excellent for high-temperature applications and welding, widely used in motors, transformers, and power distribution.
  • C14500 (Tellurium Copper) — 93% IACS, greatly improved machinability with minimal conductivity loss. Ideal for complex stamped-and-machined parts such as connector pins and contacts.
  • C17200 (Beryllium Copper) — 22% IACS, the strongest copper alloy available. Used for spring contacts, precision instruments, and aerospace connectors requiring fatigue resistance.
  • C19400 (Iron-Modified Copper) — 65% IACS, excellent for lead frames and connector stampings requiring high strength and moderate conductivity.

Benefits of Copper Stamped Parts

  • Superior electrical conductivity — 100% IACS, ideal for power distribution, terminals, and contact components
  • High thermal conductivity — approximately 8x more thermally conductive than steel, excellent for heat exchangers and thermal management
  • Corrosion resistance — naturally resistant to atmospheric corrosion; can be plated with tin, silver, or gold for enhanced protection
  • Excellent formability — ETP copper can be deep-drawn to high depth-to-diameter ratios without annealing
  • Solderability — excellent solder wetting for PCB and electronic assembly applications
  • Antimicrobial properties — natural bacteriostatic properties for medical and food-contact applications
  • Recyclability — 100% recyclable; scrap copper retains significant value, reducing net material cost
  • Tight tolerances — progressive die stamping achieves ±0.01 mm tolerances on critical dimensions

Copper Stamping Applications

Our copper stamped parts serve demanding applications across multiple industries:

  • Electrical Connectors & Terminals — crimp terminals, blade contacts, pin contacts, socket contacts, and wire connectors for automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics
  • Bus Bars & Power Distribution — flat and shaped bus bars for switchgear, EV battery systems, solar inverters, and UPS systems
  • Heat Exchangers — fins, tubes, and heat sink components for HVAC, refrigeration, and electronics cooling
  • PCB Components — lead frames, shields, clips, and retention brackets for printed circuit board assemblies
  • Medical Devices — precision contacts, shielding components, and antimicrobial surface parts
  • Telecommunications — RF shielding cans, grounding clips, and connector housings
  • Automotive — EV battery busbars, fuse holders, relay contacts, and ignition terminals
  • Industrial Equipment — current-carrying contacts, solenoid components, and precision springs

  • Salt spray testing for plated components (ASTM B117)
  • Full material certifications (mill certs) provided with each order

Plating & Surface Finishing for Copper Parts

We offer complete post-stamp finishing to meet your electrical and environmental requirements:

  • Tin plating (matte/bright) — most popular for terminals and connectors; improves solderability and corrosion resistance; RoHS-compliant
  • Silver plating — highest conductivity plating; used for high-current bus bars and RF connectors
  • Gold plating (selective/full) — best corrosion resistance and contact reliability for low-voltage signal contacts
  • Nickel plating — barrier layer for high-temperature applications; used under gold in connector contacts
  • Nickel-silver plating — decorative finish with moderate conductivity for consumer products
